As was asked by a reader I will give you the league table of all the refs and their points so far after 83 games reviewed. I also included the number of games we have reviewed the ref. Because a ref that has been reviewed only once is very difficult to judge completely or to draw any conclusions.
I will give you 4 league tables and the first one is the overall decisions. This means any decision on the field and just judged if it was correct or not.
The second one is where we give weight to the decisions.
The last one is what I think one of the most important ones as it is about the important decisions.
Just to explain this final point, the important decisions are goals, penalties, yellow and red cards and decisions that have lead to those decisions, such as calling a foul and then handing out the red card. Because it is two different decisions that a ref has to make: is it a foul? Yes/no and the second decisions: is it a red card? Yes/no.
So here we go.

And in first place we have ref Moss who was only reviewed in one game so far this season when by the time this table was created. So good for him that he has had such a score but I will leave him out of my review as it could have been a lucky game for the ref.
Ref Oliver has a very good score and yes I can’t help it but Dowd also has a score of +80%. This means that he has 8 out of 10 calls correct in fact.
Regular readers will know that the line you cannot cross is the 70% line. Above is good, under is bad. So of the 17 refs in our review system so far 10 have a score higher than 70%. And 7 refs would have been open for demoting in other countries in the world based on the overall decisions. Somehow however, the Premier League referees work to different rules from everyone else.
Now let us try to give some weight to the decisions and see how things stand then.

Again ref Moss is in first place and the rest of the refs are in a very similar position.. But when we compare things we see that the score is mostly lower for all the refs involved. Only Friend, Dien, Atwell and Probert get a higher score when we give weight to the decisions.
But now we come to what I think is the most important table: how do the referees score when we just look at the important decisions? And this is what has the most influence on the final score (even though one can argue about that) as this is the most visible on the final score of the game.

Again Moss is in first place (again of course with only one game reviewed so far) and Dowd is also near the top. In fact he moves up one place compared to the other tables. So this means that when it comes to the important decisions he has done better compared to the other refs than his foul calling in the middle of the field.
Now if we again take a look at the 70% mark we can see that only 5 (five!!) refs out of the 17 get a score of +70%. The other 12 are below that and some even well below this. The only refs that manage to get a total score of +70 % are Moss, Dowd, Jones, Dean and Friend. There are two names in those 5 that I really don’t like but the reviews are what they are and when they done good we will give them the points they deserve.
Of course this doesn’t mean all their game were good. No it just means that in all the games we reviewed they have had that total score. But I can show you games in which they didn’t perform at all.
And at the bottom of this table you see the just demoted ref Stuart Atwell. So in a way it is nice to see that the findings of our ref reviewers are in fact in tune with the findings of the people who do the reviews of the PGMO and at least one point. The biggest difference is that I don’t think over here at PURR (or Professional Untold Ref Reviewer) we would accept such scores for longer than half a season.
To finish it I also give you the table that combines the other 3 tables. And this is what you could call the final score of the refs after 83 games. The final EPL referee table.
Enjoy the search for your favourite or most disliked ref.

And when we count all and everything we see that 10 refs out of the 17 reviewed get an average score of +70%. They can stay. The others…should follow Atwell.
