For the clash between QPR and Manchester City we had ref Atkinson in charge at Loftus Road. Read the report from our ref reviewer but also pay attention because in this review we have tried to add something new.

Some controversy in this game. The first goal from QPR came after a non existing foul. Bothroyd ran away from goal and just stumbled over his own feet and the assistant signaled a foul. QPR scored immediately from the free kick. So a goal that shouldn’t have happened.
In the second half there was an incident when Bothroyd his shirt was pulled when he tried to go for a high ball in the penalty area. This should have been a penalty for QPR. So one decision going their way, the other not. Speaking about it evens out ….
In this game one could say that the ref despite these errors was very balanced in the way he treated both teams. This can be seen in the wrong calls.
About the novelty in this review. People who have been following the ref reviews and read the numbers till the end will notice some new numbers. Because I have tried to see how the wrong calls compared in two ways: the average wrong call and the important decision wrong call.
Something we will try to add in the future. If it can be done without adding to much pressure on the ref reviewers.
