Ref Friend had some controversial decisions. The sending off was however correct. Spearing launched himself with both feet off the ground towards his opponent. This is always a foul and if you show your studs and fly in the air only a red card is the right card.
The ref was inconsistent however with handing out the cards. Senderoz should have been sent off with two yellow cards shortly after Spearing. He got away with it.
Suarez was his usual himself. Diving, falling over, pretending to been hit by a bullet whenever a Fulham player came near to him. I wonder if he sees himself on TV if he does feel embarrassed by his behaviour.
But this is about the ref and this was the ref who in the game between Liverpool and Wolves managed to give no wrong calls against Liverpool. So maybe he felt it necessary to correct himself in this game by handing more wrong calls against Liverpool this time?
Overall his score was just above the 70% line so not really a great score but we have seen worse also this season.
