Everton
Everton and Liverpool were charged by the Football Association with failing to control their players after a reserve match on 10 October 2006. Players from each side attacked each other after Liverpool keeper Jerzy Dudek was sent off for his reaction to Victor Anichebe’s tackle. As well as both clubs, Dudek has been charged with improper conduct for not leaving the field of play promptly. That could have meant Dudek facing a possible five-match ban. With Everton having a suspended FA sentence hanging over them for a first-team incident against Middlesbrough, they could have been fined about £20,000 and Liverpool could have been fined around £10,000. But they weren’t. What a surprise. |
