Arsenal History Society at the House of Commons « Untold Arsenal: Arsenal News. Supporting the Lord Wenger; coach of the decade

By Tony Attwood

If you are a member of AISA, you are also a member of the Arsenal History Society, and you will have received an invite a while back to attend our Winter Social at the House of Commons on Thursday this week.

We received far too many applications for places, and so have had a ballot for members wanting to attend.  If you were a winner in the ballot you should have received an email telling you, and you should also have received (or will be receiving) a rather smart invitation card which you should bring along.

The meeting kicks off at 7.30pm and will last for a couple of hours, but because of the inevitable security that surrounds Parliament, it is worth getting to Parliament a little while before the start.

We are delighted to be welcoming Philippa Dawson, the grand daughter of Jack Humble, the founding father and inspiration within Royal Arsenal, Woolwich Arsenal, The Arsenal and Arsenal FC from 1886 to 1927.

There will be a few speeches, but mostly this will be a chance to have a chat with fellow AISA members with an interest in the club’s history.
